This was the fourth time I got up very early to see the sunrise at the sea. Conrad also gathered himself, thus at 5.50 in the morning we were on the way to the beach (other side of the road), and we were hoping that it won’t be cloudy again.

Ez már a negyedik alkalom volt, hogy elég korán keltem azért, hogy láthassam a napfelkeltét a tengernél. Conrad is összeszedte magát, így hajnali 5.50-kor már úton voltunk a partra (tehát az út másik felére), és reméltük, hogy nem lesz az ég megint felhős.

Day 19: Slowing down

Mũi Né

We stayed in Mũi Né, as this was our next rest day on our travel. Staying in the shade of palm trees, drinking ice tea (trà đá, green tea on ice, no additives), enjoying the view of the sunny sea, eating some tasty, fresh seafood are the perfect relaxing “activities”.

Mũi Né-ben maradtunk, a terveink szerint ez volt a következő pihenő nap. A pálmafák árnyékában jeges teát (trà đá, zöld tea jégen, semmi ízesítés) szürcsölgetni, élvezni a napos tenger látványát, friss, ízletes tenger gyümölcseit majszolni – ezek a legjobb „aktív” pihenési módok.

The great adventure through Vietnam starts

Only two days have left until Conrad and me start the tour to the south. (Thai Nguyen – Ho Chi Minh City) This is gonna be a great adventure for us and for the motorbikes. Crazy traffic, steep mountains, heavy rainfall, breakdowns, getting lost… From 26 November 2011 until 18 December we are going to be on the road. Three weeks of constant challenges. So, here’s the estimated route.

Már csak két nap van hátra és Conraddal indulunk délre. Hatalmas kihívás lesz nekünk is és a motoroknak is. Őrült forgalom, meredek hegyek, esőzés, lerobbanás, eltévedés… 2011 november 26-tól december 18-ig tart a túra Ho Chi Minh városig. Három hét folyamatos kihívás. Ez itt az elképzelt útvonalunk.

Honda Win

Three weeks ago we bought motorbikes for the big trip (Thai Nguyen – Saigon, ~2100km, ~3-4 weeks). Why Honda Win? Because these can survive everything. All the mechanics can repair them, as these are very popular on the countryside. And because it’s easy to find them with all the good equipment (tools, maps, red star on the tank) from other foreigners.

Három hete vettük meg a motorokat a nagy túrára (Thai Nguyen – Saigon, ~2000km, ~3-4 weeks). Miért vettünk Honda Win-t? Mert ezek túlélnek mindent. Minden szerelő meg tudja javítani őket, mert nagyon sok van belőlük vidéken. És mert könnyű ilyeneket találni mindenféle hasznos dolgokkal, mint szerszámok, térképek, vörös csillag a tankon. Más, túrával végzett külföldiek adják el ezeket.
